I love great danes! So large, so gentle, so sweet and silly. We have a large variety of danes at my daycare, each with their own unique look and personality. However, I have noticed that all danes have one thing in common...they love to lean! Whether its on a ledge, a chair, or in my lap, danes love to find a place to rest their rears and give their back legs a break from holding up all that weight. Can you blame them?
Occasionally I have had the pleasure of being approached by a great dane when sitting down and have them plop their behind right in my lap! Here is a picture I took just yesterday of a beloved dane named Astro taking some time to rest on a big plastic toy.
